For the Chinese New Year celebration, guests are invited to feast on traditional Chinese set menus specially crafted by Chinese Executive Chef Christopher Chai. Some special dishes for this year include Salmon Yee Sang, Eight-Treasure Pot, Suckling Pig and Deep-Fried King Prawn with Golden Pumpkin Sauce. The set menus are available from 1 February to 15 February 2018.
Guests may share their well wishes for the New Year with family, friends and loved ones through the hotel’s Chinese New Year hampers. The red and gold themed hampers are available in various sizes and brim with delightful homemade goodies, such as XO Sauce, Black-Bean Sauce, Belacan Sauce, Almond Cookies, Lotus Cookies and Eight-Treasure Tea in beautiful packaging.
For guests who prefer to enjoy the Chinese New Year in the comfort of their own homes, JIA presents an assortment of the festive delicacies for takeaway. The delectable takeaway options include the traditional favourites: Suckling Pig, Peking Duck and Salmon Yee Sang.
SATOO, the hotel’s international buffet restaurant, will also partake in the festivities by adding a range of Chinese specialties and Yee Shang toss tradition into its buffet offerings for the Chinese New Year Eve’s dinner and Chinese New Year’s Day brunch.
Lobby Lounge invites guests to welcome the Year of the Dog with its special Chinese- themed high tea in the afternoon from 3 to 6 p.m. The menu will be presented beautifully in tiers, inspired by JIA’s Chinese specialties recipe. Menus are include: Roast Duck Baguette Barbeque Sauce, Open Sandwich of Hainan Chicken, Baked Scallop Stuffed Shrimp Paste and Bean-Cured Miso Mayo, Pan-Fried Beef Tenderloin with Sliced Garlic BBQ Sauce, Matcha and Red Bean Cake and Sesame Balls. The Chinese New Year-themed afternoon tea will be available every day in February 2018.
